Meet Margaux, An Adorable Poodle. This Poodle Lives A Normal Life Despite Being Blind And Deaf
Margaux is a female poodle who is both blind and deaf. However, this poodle lives a normal life, never allowing her condition to stop her from living life to the fullest. She also has a supportive family and three siblings who are always there for her.
Laura and Scott Jordan of Idaho, own the 12-year-old dog. It wasn’t until recently that they noticed their dog was not like her usual self. She seemed confused and appeared to have no sense of direction.
According to the veterinarian, Margaux has an autoimmune disease. Since then, her parents have put the dog on medication. However, Jordan noticed that the disease also got into their dog’s eyes.
They immediately went to a veterinarian to get some advice. They suggested that it would be better to remove both of the dog’s eyes. Other people said that it would be kinder to euthanize the dog, but her foster parents never lost hope.
They feel that the dog can still live a happy life despite her condition. Fortunately, the removal of her eyes stopped the progression of her disease. To help her adjust, the family started using scent pads and took her on a house tour.
Margaux’s family believes that it will not take long for the dog to get back on track. The poodle currently shares a house with her three sisters. They continue to be as playful as they’ve been in the past, occasionally taking her toys away.
When their family goes hiking, they also help her. Jordan said he’d connect their leashes and have her siblings lead the way, with Margaux trailing behind. Jordan went on to say that they would never let anything bad happen to their dog.
After seeing many people get inspired by the dog’s story, Jordan decided to create a Facebook page called The Root For Poodle Margaux. He can only hope that Margaux’s journey will inspire more people.
