Country Life Magazine Anniversary Celebration
Country Life is celebrating the magazine’s 125th anniversary. Conversely the celebration coincided with the 75th birthday of the Duchess of Cornwall so it was definitely a very special occasion.
Duchess of Cornwall’s dogs Were Rescue Dogs
As rescued dogs, Beth and Bluebell came from the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in London. Now they are thriving as Camilla’s royal dogs.
Over the years they have developed a close bond with Duchess Camilla. Often Beth and Bluebell accompany the Duchess of Cornwall to royal events and on casual day outings.
Beth Wins First Prize
At one event, a dog show that the Prince and the Duchess attended, Beth actually won first prize in the show’s agility contest.
At another time the dogs were officially seen during the celebration of the royal couple’s 15th wedding anniversary. Camilla has also been seen spending time with Beth and Bluebell without the Prince by her side.
Beth Undertakes Official Duties With The Duchess
A few years ago, Beth accompanied her mom in the unveiling of a plaque to officially open new kennels at the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. The dogs home was Beth’s first home before the Duchess and the Prince took her home. Beth undertook her official duty superbly by grabbing hold of a sausage attached to the blue curtain that covered the plaque. She tugged the curtain to reveal the plaque dedication.
As a matter of fact, Beth visited the home again with her mom the Duchess where she won a trophy for being a very good and obedient girl.
Photoshoot Models
All in all Bluebell and Beth are having the time of their lives as models, and this photoshoot marked their very first solo appearance in the magazine and on the front page. The girls were photographed by Anya Campbell at Raymill in Wiltshire, England. And just like their fur mom, they looked very elegant and regal wearing pearl necklaces.
