Artist Illustrates Comics Showing Why Dogs Are Not “Just Dogs”.
When our four-legged pals look at us, we feel very special. Our hearts skip a beat because we know our best friend love us. Dogs are pure beings! Dogs love us unconditionally. They make us feel how much they appreciate us day in and day out.
Some people are not as fond of dogs as you and I, so French Artist (and dog lover) created a comic to illustrate how our best friend is more than a dog to those of us who own a dog.
Now, as wonderful as these four-legged creatures are, there are people out there who are not fond of them. Their reasons range from having allergies to being attacked by these pups in the past. While these reasons are understandable, there are those who despise dogs for the sheer heck of it. This is something that Lucille, a French artist popularly known as Notidee, could not understand.
More than just a dog
Lucille decided to address the issue by creating a comic entitled “It’s Just a Dog,” featuring her beloved pooch, Neos. She wanted to show people how amazing pups are and why they’re more than “a mere dog”.
To state her case, she made sure that each strip would show how precious her and Neos’s bond is. Aside from highlighting his personality, she also illustrated the different activities they would do together.
When she was finally done with the comic, she posted it on Twitter. Those who’ve been following her online were moved by her comic that they shared the link so their contacts would see it. Before Lucille knew it, the comic already had more than 170,000 likes and over 48,000 retweets.
An outpouring of love
Those who came across Lucille’s comic wasted no time in reaching out to her. They told her how much they appreciate her comic and how they found it very relatable. Some of them even went on to talk about what their day-to-day lives with their dogs look like. Lucille’s heart was filled when she saw how many people appreciated her work of art.
